How to draw an Easter Chick

The finished Easter Chick drawing

Hello, Doodle Delegates! Today we're hopping into the festive spirit to sketch a darling of spring celebrations - the Easter chick!

Step 1

Start with an egg (of course) but tilt it slightly.

Step 2 of drawing an easter chick

Step 2

Add several little ruffles for his hair, his wings, and his tail. Add two little sticks for his little legs.

Step 3 of drawing an easter chick

Step 3

Add some toes to his legs, an oval for his beak, and a mouth inside that oval. Add his eyes (I used little upside-down U’s since he’s so happy to be alive).

Step 5 of drawing an easter chick

Step 4

Color your chick a nice sunshine yellow (or whatever color means happiness to you!).

Aww, what a doofy little chick!

Now, let's peck at some fascinating facts about chicks and Easter.

  1. Symbol of New Life: Chicks, along with eggs, are symbols of new life and rebirth in many cultures, making them popular icons for Easter.

  2. Eggceptional Escape Artists: Did you know chicks use a special "egg tooth" to peck their way out of their shells? That's some eggciting determination!

  3. Quick Learners: Chicks start to peep while still in the egg, learning their mother's voice before they even hatch. Talk about advanced students!

  4. Feathered Fashion: Baby chicks are covered in a soft down when they hatch. In about a week, they start to grow their adult feathers. They're the fluffy doodle you can't resist!

  5. Easter Celebrations: Easter chicks are often depicted with Easter eggs, and in some traditions, the Easter Bunny brings eggs and chicks as gifts.

Remember, the goal at DoofyDoodles is not perfection but joy in the process of doodling. So grab your crayon, marker, or digital stylus, and let's create some chick-tastic doodles together!
